Philadelphia 76ers Re-Signed Six Time All Star Kyle Lowry
Philadelphia 76ers President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey announced today that the team has re-signed Kyle Lowry. Who is 18 year NBA veteran six time All Star and Philadelphia native. Details of the deal were not disclose in accordance with team policy.
Kyle Lowry is a skilled leader a fierce competitor and a proven winner with success at the highest level. His return is crucial to our pursuit of bringing a championship back to Philadelphia Morey said.
After joining the 76ers on February 13 Lowry averaged 8.0 points. And 4.6 assists per game shooting 40.4% from three point range in 23 games (20 starts). During this period he ranked second on the team with 106 assists behind Maxey’s 125. Lowry also played in all six first round playoff games against New York scoring 18 points in Game 1.
Last season Kyle Lowry scored in double figures 20 times over 60 games (55 starts) between Miami. And Philadelphia including three games with 20 or more points. His highest scoring performance with the 76ers was a 23 point game 7-12 FG, 4-8 3FG at Cleveland on March 29.
Additionally his two point assist double doubles ranked third on the team behind Maxey’s eight and Embiid’s three.
In his 18 NBA seasons including six straight All Star appearances from 2015 to 2020. And a Third Team All NBA selection in 2015-16 Lowry has averaged 14.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

Lowry was name the 2005 Philadelphia Big Five Rookie of the Year. And earned All Big East Second Team honors as a sophomore. Villanova retired his No. 1 jersey in February 2020. Before college Lowry excelled at Northeast and Cardinal Dougherty High Schools.
