Golfer Nelly Korda Bites by Dog, Withdraws from Tournament

On June 28, Nelly Korda, the top golfer in the world, bitten and injured by a dog. Because of this, she had to withdraw from a Ladies European Tour event. That event scheduled for next week in Hemel Hempstead, England. She shared this news on Friday.

I regret to announce that I must withdraw from next week’s Ladies European Tour tournament in London, Nelly Korda wrote on Instagram. Unfortunately, while I was in Seattle on Saturday, I bitten by a dog.

The injury requires medical treatment and time to heal properly. I need to focus on recovering fully before I can return to playing golf. So, I appreciate everyone’s support and understanding during this time.

I am sorry to the Ladies European Tour, the sponsors, and my fans for not being able to participate. Thank you for understanding my situation. I look forward to getting back on the course soon.

Nelly Korda who won her 2d primary identify in April on the 2024 Chevron Championship. She failed to make it beyond the 1/3 spherical on the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship earlier this month in Sammamish, Washington, near Seattle. She also failed to make the cut in May at the U.S. Women’s Open.
