3x NBA Champion Draws Michael Jordan Comparisons for Anthony Edwards

Anthony Edwards is creating a massive splash as Team USA’s standout player in his first Olympic Games and has proven a sizeable boom. By leading the Minnesota Timberwolves near the NBA finals. Many see him as the destiny megastar of the league, evaluating him as Michael Jordan.

However, Sam Cassell has performed towards Jordan. Won a couple of NBA championships, and has coached different champions, which is tempering those comparisons. Cassell thinks the hype around Edwards is probably untimely and desires to gradual down the comparisons to Jordan.

Cassell also mentioned that before Jordan reached his prime, the challenge was to get past Magic Johnson’s teams. He acknowledged that Jordan became the major obstacle for any team in the playoffs, including the Rockets.

Sam Cassel described Michael Jordan as looking like he was going to score every goal. Jordan’s shooting accuracy was impressive, hitting 50% of his shots and hitting 51% in the playoffs. Cassel insisted that Jordan’s performances are only accurate in the games that are counted maximum, making him seem invincible in the courtroom.

Anthony Edwards led the Minnesota Timberwolves to the playoffs for the first time because of Kevin Garnett in 2004. Although he became a strong competitor, he no longer made it to the NBA Finals.
