Why is Angelina Jolie Silent on Daughter Shiloh’s Name Change

Shiloh the daughter of famous actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt recently put a request in the court. She wants to change her last name by dropping ‘Pitt’ from her name.

This means she would just have Jolie as her last name instead of Jolie Pitt. Its an important decision for her and it drawn attention because her both parents are well known celebrities.

Angelina Jolie can not talk publicly about her daughter Shiloh’s request to change her name. The reason is that there are rules about discussing court matters and this is something happen in court. So, even though it’s about her family, Angelina can’t speak about it openly.

A person who knows about the situation said to ET, “Shiloh got her own lawyer and paid for it with her own money. So, Angie doesn’t know about it and can’t talk about it.” Another person who know about said before to ET that Shiloh asked the court to change her name on May 27, which was her 18th birthday.

Shiloh’s request to change her name legally and just known as Shiloh Jolie. Brad and Angelina have three biological children together. Shiloh is one of them and there are also 15 year old twins named Vivienne and Knox.

They also have three adopted children Maddox who is 22, Pax who is 20 and Zahara who is 19.

Zahara was the first to remove “Pitt” from her last name. She used “Zahara Marley Jolie” during an event when she joined the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.

Then, Vivienne did the same thing more recently. Vivienne and her famous mom worked together on producing a Broadway show called The Outsiders. Vivienne credited as Vivienne Jolie for her role in the production.

Shiloh seems to be the first of Angelina and Brad’s children who wants to officially change her last name. She is doing this by filling out paperwork and asking the court to make it legal. It is interesting because Angelina who is Shiloh’s mom has a similar situation with her own name.

Angelina born as Angelina Jolie Voight. But she had a difficult relationship with her dad, Jon Voight. Because of this Angelina asked the court to take Voight out of her name. The court agreed to this request in 2002.

Brad and Angelina dating each other in 2005. They met while they were working on a movie called Mr & Mrs Smith. Before Brad got together with Angelina he married to another actress named Jennifer Aniston. Then he filed for divorce from Jennifer and after that he began his relationship with Angelina.

The couple got marry in 2014 but their relationship ended in 2016. Angelina filed for divorce after a reported argument during a flight is involving their kids. This incident grabbed the attention of the FBI who made a detail 53 page report in 2016.

However the US Attorney Office chose not to take legal action for various reasons. Since then Angelina and Brad have in a long legal fight.
