Taylor Fritz has now reached the quarter-finals of his eighth Masters 1000 event in Shanghai. He only needs a quarter-final finish in Montreal or Toronto to complete the full Masters 1000 series.

Fritz has also more than 4000 points in the ATP Race, leaving behind Casper Ruud, Andrey Rublev, and Novak Djokovic in the race for the ATP Finals. His run this season, which includes a US Open final, positions him well to make the field of 32 to get into this event.
