Despite ongoing comparisons from experts and fans, Reese revealed that the ROTY award isn’t her main focus. Instead, she is determined to lead the Sky to the postseason. Reese told her co-host, Maya Reese. When I got drafted 7th, I felt like there was no pressure on me. I just want to focus on playing my game.

I don’t know when I became part of the WNBA Rookie of the Year Award conversation, Angel Reese said. Everyone said I wasn’t ready for the league, that’s why I was drafted seventh. They said I wouldn’t play, that I might be cut from training camp.

Reese emphasized her focus on leading the Chicago Sky to the playoffs rather than the ROTY award. Getting to the playoffs is something I really want. I’m not really thinking about Rookie of the Year.

Although Reese is trailing Caitlin Clark within the Rookie of the Year race, she has made a robust affect this season. The former LSU famous person is averaging 13.3 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in line with game. She has recorded double-digit rebounds in 25 games. The Sky, currently eighth within the WNBA standings with an 11-22 report, are simply conserving on to a playoff spot.
