Max Allegri, the coach of Juventus, has given a warning. He said that the team shouldn’t start thinking about the Coppa Italia Final against Atalanta just yet. Allegri believes they need to focus on their next match against Salernitana. He emphasized that Juventus must show on the field that they deserve to win before they can think about any other matches.

The game starts at the Allianz Juventus Stadium at 5:00 PM UK time (4:00 PM GMT).

The Bianconeri team understands that if they win today’s match, they will secure their spot in the Champions League. However, achieving this hasn’t been easy lately. They’ve only managed to win twice in their last 14 Serie A matches. Currently, they’re coming off a streak of five consecutive draws.

Additionally, there’s pressure on the team to give some players a break before Wednesday’s Coppa Italia Final against Atalanta in Rome.

Allegri shared his thoughts with DAZN, saying that these matches are always tough because you have to earn the win on the field. He mentioned that Salernitana has been performing well lately, having shown strong performances against teams like Atalanta, Lazio, and Sassuolo.

Allegri emphasized the importance of Juventus proving themselves deserving of victory through their performance on the pitch. He acknowledged that while the outcome could be significant, the team needs to focus on playing the game.

Allegri Shifts Focus Away from Coppa Italia in Juventus Strategy:

Federico Chiesa and Kenan Yildiz are not feeling completely well due to a stomach bug, which might affect their performance.

Additionally, there are adjustments in the defense, with Daniele Rugani set to start. Many are speculating if these changes are a practice run for the upcoming Coppa Italia match.

Today’s match is not a practice session for Wednesday’s game. While Danilo and Alex Sandro are expected to be fit for Wednesday, the other players are still dependable, and we must concentrate on today’s match.

Juventus ultras have made it known that they intend to stage a protest, alleging that there are constraints imposed on the display of their banners within the confines of the Allianz Arena.

Consequently, this unrest could potentially result in a more subdued atmosphere compared to the typical fervor and noise associated with Juventus matches.

Allegri emphasized the significance of not only playing well but also energizing the crowd. He acknowledged the difficulty of the task at hand, pointing out that Salernitana, being a team eager to make their mark, presents a formidable challenge. Hence, he anticipates that the match will be a tough one.

Juventus found themselves extending their winless streak to six matches across all competitions, a concerning trend despite their efforts. The match saw Rabiot stepping up with a crucial second half stoppage time equalizer, countering Niccolo Pierozzi‘s opener in the 27th minute.

Despite the Old Lady’s relentless attacking display, amassing 25 shots and commanding possession with a significant 68%, they faltered in breaking down Serie A’s bottom-dwelling side.

The inability to convert chances into goals proved frustrating for Juventus, as they struggled to capitalize on their dominance on the pitch. Despite their relentless efforts, the opposing defense held firm, denying Juventus any breakthroughs.

The result leaves Juventus stagnant in fourth place in the league standings, highlighting their struggles in maintaining form towards the end of the season.

For Juventus and their fans, the drawn outcome reflects a broader pattern of inconsistency and difficulty in finding momentum. The team’s performance, despite flashes of brilliance, underscores the need for improvement and reflection as they navigate through a challenging phase.

As the season progresses, addressing these issues becomes increasingly crucial for Juventus to achieve their objectives and regain their winning form.

Juventus’ Champions League Hopes Dampened:

Juventus had a crucial chance to seal their spot in next season’s Champions League, a feat they couldn’t accomplish as they faced determined opponents who proved difficult to break down. Despite their efforts, Juventus struggled to unlock the spirited visitors, leaving their qualification hopes hanging in the balance.

The inability to secure Champions League qualification in this match adds to Juventus’ growing sense of frustration and disappointment.

While still within reach, this setback underscores the challenges they face in maintaining their competitive edge in the league.

The current state of Juventus reflects a team grappling with confidence issues, evident in their struggles to assert dominance on the field. This lack of confidence permeates the squad and places additional scrutiny on manager Massimiliano Allegri.
