Paige Bueckers’ Surprising Pick for Deserted Island—It’s Not Nika Muhl
Paige Bueckers, a star basketball player for UConn, is thought to be very near her former teammate and Seattle Storm rookie, Nika Muhl. The guards are like sisters, and Bueckers even calls Muhl her twin. But when requested who she would take along with her to live to tell the tale on a deserted island, Paige had different teammates in mind.

In an interview with Jerzy Robinson for Gatorade, Paige requested to pick teammates to bring about an abandoned island. She selected:
1. KK Arnold – Paige said she would choose KK due to the fact, that no matter what happens on the island, they might have fun collectively. KK Arnold had a robust freshman season, stepping up when the team confronted injuries. She averaged 8.9 points, three.1 rebounds, and three.2 assists in line with the sport.
2. Kaitlyn Chen – Paige’s 2d pick changed into Kaitlyn Chen, her new teammate. Kaitlyn could have been very clever and graduated from Princeton. Paige believes Kaitlyn might be resourceful and help them live to tell the tale. Kaitlyn Chen, who is coming into her senior year, had an extraordinary season with Princeton, averaging 15.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 1.3 steals according to the game. Kaitlyn predicted to fill the spot left via Nika Muhl, who recently joined the WNBA.
As Paige Bueckers prepares for the imminent 2024-25 season, she knows she has quite a few responsibilities. Last season, she, Nika Muhl, and Aaliyah Edwards have been key gamers in main UConn to the Final Four. However, Nika and Aaliyah have since moved on to the WNBA. Through the Washington Mystics, Aaliyah selected third overall, while Nika selected fourteenth.
Paige knows that a lot is expected of her now that they are both long gone.
It’s crazy, Paige said. Since Nika and Aaliyah aren’t with me anymore, I must take full responsibility for this. There is no one else in the courtroom but myself. I’m taking that duty very seriously and focusing mostly on the younger players—assisting, guiding, and modeling behavior for them on and off the court.”
Given that Paige Bueckers intends to sign with the WNBA in 2025, this may be her last season at UConn. Many people already anticipate that she might be the first choice.
