Caitlin Clark Meet Biles and Thomas: Teammates Thrilled to See Olympic Stars
WNBA Rookie of the Year frontrunner Caitlin Clark set a new league record for 3-pointers by a first-year player during the Indiana Fever’s victory over the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday. The game became even more special when Caitlin Clark meet Biles and Thomas, as American gymnast Simone Biles, a seven-time Olympic gold medalist, attended to watch. This was Biles’ first time seeing a WNBA game in person. She enjoyed watching Clark and the Fever win their second game in a row as they pushed for the playoffs.

After the Indiana Fever’s 84-80 win, Caitlin Clark and her teammates had the chance to meet Simone Biles and Olympic gold medalist track star Gabby Thomas. Biles and Thomas greeted the basketball players with smiles, hugs, and photos. The Fever team was thrilled by the encounter. The team shared their excitement about the event on X (formerly Twitter) and other social media platforms, highlighting the moment when Caitlin Clark met Biles and Thomas.
At the end of the event, Biles compared this experience with the WNBA players to her past interactions with male athletes. She noted how the basketball players were much more enthusiastic, saying, “They were so excited. Oh my god. It’s like usually the boy will just pass and be like ‘Yup.’ But they were so excited, that was so cool.”

Biles later shared her excitement on social media about the growth of women’s sports. She posted on X (formerly Twitter), saying how thrilled she was to support the WNBA. “EVERYONE WATCHES WOMEN’S SPORTS! So happy to be able to go support! My first of many WNBA games,” she wrote.
