Austin Reaves Plans to Build Muscle During Lakers Offseason
Austin Reaves of the LA Lakers had a standout season, accomplishing career highs in points, rebounds, and assists. However, he has decided to get stronger and add more muscle this offseason.

Team Expectations
Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka has also set expectations for Reaves, advising him to gain at least five pounds of muscle to improve his defense. Reaves explained, “In my exit meeting, Rob Pelinka told me to gain about five pounds of upper body muscle. This helps with defense and creating more scoring opportunities. I love basketball and want to improve every part of my game.”
Season Performance
Last season, Reaves averaged 15.9 factors, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.5 assists according to Sport. He shot 48.6% from the field, 36.7% from 3-point variety, and 85.3% from the unfastened-throw line. Despite suffering at the start of the season, Reaves’ performance progressed extensively as soon as he turned into reinstated into the beginning lineup.
